As spring is now in full swing, the biggest trend for the season is currently kinky curly, whether it’s in bundles or even a wig. So, you may be wondering what makes this texture so popular these days. Well one of the reasons is that it is very similar to a natural texture as it can be worn in its curly state, or it can be brushed out to mimic natural hair. Many customers have been requesting this item and so we are happy to say that we will be getting this texture very soon. This texture of hair is often much tighter than many of the other curly textures widely available on the market now. The many difference with this hair texture is that it tends to be a bit looser and gives more of a voluminous look. Hence, it varies compared to our Brazilian loose wave, Peruvian deep wave and even our Unprocessed body wave due to the tightness of its natural curl pattern. This is important to keep in mind because that means that shrinkage is possible which will make the hair look much shorter than it actually is. Also, our kinky curl bundles can be easily dyed and styled using heating tools. However, compared to the other curly textures, with your kinky curly bundles or wigs, you should use as little to no heat as possible, as this will help to keep the curls well-defined. Alternatives to styling tools would be the use of rods or styling options such as twist outs or Bantu knots.

When it comes to maintenance, kinky curly hair will often need more upkeep than many of the other textures such as straight or loose wave. This hair texture also tends to be a little bit drier and will therefore need more moisture and hydration. In order to do this, you will need to apply curly hair products such as curl enhancing mousses or curling creams, and this should be used alongside water or a leave-in conditioner. Thes best way to go about this is to use a spray bottle in order to ensure that all of the curls get drenched and hydrated as needed. Also, to prevent buildup, you must be sure to wash your bundles or wigs as this is essential in keeping the curls healthy. And lastly, an important part to keep in mind, especially if you plan on sleeping with this hair texture, is to protect the hair before you go off to bed. You can opt to braid the hair into sections or use a silk scarf in order to prevent the hair from tangling throughout the night or from getting frizzy. This will also help to reduce breakage and will in turn help with keeping the curls as defined as possible.
